Litman's leftovers entered this year's Turkey Bowl with a lot of uncertainty based on last year's disappointing finish....People all year have been asking if the combo of Luke and Tyler Litman lost it... Has Puberty got the best of them... Well we got our answer....
After beating the pants off Goldens Gobblers in a tough but lopsided affair they entered the championship against a tough Safra Stuffing team still searching for their first ever Turkey Bowl title. The game started as a defensive battle with neither team being able to break through but towards the end of the 1st half on a 4th down Luke Litman unloaded a bomb to his brother Tyler which went the distance setting the tone for what was to come.
Litmans Leftover was stacked with talent and MVP runner up Jack Kornblau showed that he can play with anybody at any age... Luke Sherman and Sampsen Orlinsky added much needed support to the team and proved everybody wrong who questioned their ability to win the big game.
The team did pull off a Turkey Bowl Tush Push... this has never been done before in TB history, but Blake Biederman was unsuccessful in crossing the goal line...
Entering the second half the Stuffing down 2 scores went on a run and even had a chance for a miracle comeback when they had a conversion for the win.... The game ended up in overtime where Luke Litman sealed his MVP status by throwing the game winning TD to Luke Sherman.

Congrats to Max Rodriguez dominated the pie eating contest.
Year six is in the books! After winning the inaugural Turkey Bowl back in 2017 the Golden Gobblers are back on top! Safra Stuffing came up little short in game 1 against the Gobblers and Cranberries defeated the Leftovers in a back and forth battle. Daniel Rosenthal got the start at QB for the Gobblers and threw for a turkey bowl record of over 400 yards in two games with huge pass plays to Stuller, Kass and even a big one handed completion to the injured Stone Golden. The Golden Gobblers stifling defense did not give up any points in the championship game. The rush attack of Zane, Messana and Rodriguez was just too much to handle and the Gobblers celebrated with sprite showers and Coach Golden got a huge bear hug from Big Bubba to cap off the victory. Landon Nobo pulled the upset of a lifetime after defeating defending champion Matt Gilbert in the pie eating contest. Its important to note the only team yet to win a Turkey Bowl is now Safras Stuffing.
The Cranberries are champions for the first time! What a special morning for the 5 year anniversary of the Parkland Turkey Bowl. The Leftovers took the Cranberries to three overtimes but had enough fight to come out victorious and a chance to hoist the coveted turkey bowl hardware. The Stuffing easily beat the Gobblers to face off against the Cranberries. Safra Stuffing took an early lead but the Cranberries were on a mission and would not be denied. Coach Cassidy came up short at the pie eating contest but saved some extra energy and passion to fire up the cranberries and lead them to the promise land. Ryan Gilbert won MVP with his huge double pass touch down to secure the championship and he displayed positive attitude and extreme sportsmanship the entire morning. Its important to note the only team yet to win a Turkey Bowl is now Safras Stuffing. The day was joyous one, as we raised over 6k for Parkland Buddy Sports, had a huge raffle give away. From the mayor, to musicians this Turkey Bowl had it all!
Litmans Leftovers did it again! In the first round is was heavyweight slugfest with both teams delivering huge plays but one play stood out from them all. The coaches son, Tyler Litman caught a bobbled bomb pass with juke and a lost shoe to get the big win over the Gobblers to advance to the Championship game for a rematch of last years battle vs. the Cassidy Cranberries. Check out our press tab to see the news and the play making SportCenter top plays. The final game the Leftovers used the momentum from the play of the year and made sure they would finish champions. Coach Cassidy had built a title team this year but with Leftovers championship pedigree and experience they would need a perfect game to take down the champ. Unfortunately the Leftovers were to strong and possibly having Daniel the Unicorn Rosenthal gave the leftovers the extra punch to win it all as he has never lost a bowl.
We have two firsts this year! Our first back to back champion and Cassidy's Cranberries getting their first win. Quarterback Christian Cassidy arm lead them over the Gobbler's for an easy victory and the Leftovers had a goal line stop to punch them back in the final game for the third year in a row. The championship game was a blow out as it seemed the Cranberries were just happy to be there and the Leftovers wanted the Turkey Trophy for at least one more year in the Litman Household. "It was a total team effort" said Coach Litman who has his youngest son playing quarterback with key plays from Linsky, Troy and a huge Rosenthal Interception. Daniel Rosenthal is the only turkey bowl particpant to never lose a game, with his record 6-0, It would be smart to draft this winner. The leftovers came out ready and prepared to defend their title and that is exactly what they did.
This final game was a repeat of last year. As Coach Golden mingled with spectators, Coach Litman was on the Field getting the Leftovers focused and prepared for battle. Both teams came into the finals with blowouts but Coach Litman promised his star QB Luke McKee a Championship and that is what he delivered. On a game that had two touchdowns called back, it came down to a 4 and 1 stop with another horrendous goaline call by the Gobblers. The Litman Brothers channeled their inner Jerry Rice and had spactacular catches. The Turkey trophy is now in the Litman household and once again left tears coming down from Zane Golden on the last second heroic stop.
It's important note that Coach Nick Cassidy of the Cranberries is yet to win a turkey bowl game.
Coach Evan Golden's Gobblers pulled out a last second win against the Cranberries in the first game. The Championship game will always be remembers as assistant coach Kerri Edelson yelled at Brian Litman of the Leftovers totally psyching him out and the Gobblers lead by Jaxson Stuller, Landon Levine and Stone Golden pulled out the W! It's important note that Coach Nick Cassidy of the Cranberries is yet to win a turkey bowl game.
